Oculus and Its Quest 2 VR Headset Wish You a Happy 'Re-Boxing' Day
Happy Boxing Day! Or as Oculus calls it, Re-Boxing Day.
The Facebook-owned VR headset maker this morning released a commercial for its newest product, the Oculus Quest 2. It takes a playful approach to advertising the gadget—by showing people re-boxing their other gifts to make room for the immersive Quest 2 experience.
The Quest 2 is undoubtedly cool. But side note—where can we get one of those boxes that can hold objects of any size? Did we miss the Black Friday sale on those?
The Quest 2 has gotten rave reviews since its release in October. And if you didn't take the plunge for one this holiday, perhaps the new campaign will be a FOMO kick in the pants for a late pickup.
The campaign was developed by the Facebook Reality Labs marketing team. The spot will run on platform and online (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) in the U.S. and U.K., through Jan. 2.
