The Honest, Nuanced Storytelling of Filmmaker-Actor Miriam Agwai
Miriam Agwai is a third-culture Nigerian filmmaker and actor living in New York City. A versatile creative, Miriam has filled roles such as producer, writer, director, editor and actor all on a single project. Though she prefers the collaborative nature of filmmaking, her extensive range of skills are not overlooked.
In this latest edition of our video interview series Long Story Short, Miriam talks to us about Black women choosing themselves, telling honest stories with limited resources, and knowing as a creative when to insert yourself and when to get out of the way.
